Description:
Designed for inline cutting of Panel Skins . This machine is capable of straight cuts or a variety of standard cut types, including rebate cuts and thermal break cuts. Entry of the batch list and the various cut types as well as machine control and manual operation are via a 150mm colour touch screen (HMI). The cutting system utilises a specially developed shear and anvil that simultaneously cuts the skin and produces a rolled safety edge .
Principle of operation:
When the count from the 1000 pulse optical encoder matches the length entered in the batch list, the main carriage clamps to the panel and travels with it for the duration of the cut process. The joints are notched by the integral male and female joint notchers. The skin is then cut by the ball screw driven cutting heads. If further cuts are required by the cut type entered in the batch list, the top or bottom heads index to the pre-determined position automatically, and the cut process is repeated. Upon completion of the cut a return cylinder drives the carriage to the home position ready for the next panel cut.
